Welcome! Little Paws on the Prairie, Ltd. was founded in 2009. We organized with the purpose of preventing the cruelty to and possible euthanasia of abused, unwanted or abandoned K9's. We provide a loving and nurturing rescue and retreat on approximately twenty-three acres of mostly prairie grasslands. We provide care for the K9's until we can facilitate the placement of the K9 in a loving, healthy home with their "forever families."
We are located just north of Indianapolis in Westfield, IN. Our facility and care is centered around our passion for animals and for this mission. You can see some pictures of our place on: "The Retreat". We would love to hear from you and we always welcome a helping hand. Thank you!

We have taken in a Mother Miniature Pinscher Mix (Dee Dee) and her 2 young pups. All three are available for adoption!

Kai is a 2 year old pure bred Hungarian Vizsla. He has been trained as a service dog for a little girl in a wheel chair (he picks up pencils and a remote on comand) but he is now looking for a new home.
